Greetings Neighbors,
As the calendar turns toward mid-October, we are finally treated to that long-awaited shift in our Southwest Florida weather. The lower humidity and cooler evenings make this one of the absolute best times of year to enjoy our outdoor amenities, whether you are taking an evening stroll, spending time by the pool, or playing a match on the courts.
With the autumn season arriving, we also extend a warm welcome back to our returning seasonal neighbors. Over the summer months, our community remained active with vital maintenance and facility improvements, and we are excited for everyone to see the refreshed spaces around the neighborhood. As our population fills out for the winter, please take extra care while driving through the community. Daylight is shortening noticeably, so we ask all walkers, bicyclists, and golf cart drivers to use headlights, stay visible, and sport reflective gear during early morning or evening hours.
We are also pleased to share some great news from the board. Thanks to the Xfinity price reduction negotiated earlier this year during our fiber transition, the board has approved a one-time credit of $100 per household. This credit covers the five-month span running from August through December 2026 and will automatically show up on your account, requiring no additional action on your part. Altogether, this amounts to $111,900 returned to our residents. Although the credit per household is small, it represents a significant community-wide savings. The lower rate will also be reflected in future budgeting.
Even though the weather is becoming more pleasant, we must remember that hurricane season continues through the end of November. The final stretch of the season still requires our attention, so please keep your emergency supplies stocked, review your family evacuation plans, and ensure that lanai items and patio furniture can be quickly secured if a system approaches the Gulf.
Autumn also brings a full calendar of social activities and important community gatherings. With stone crab season kicking off in mid-October and local farmers markets reopening across Southwest Florida, there is plenty to celebrate both inside and outside our gates. See the calendar in this issue for upcoming neighborhood events. The board wishes you a safe and fun Halloween.
Thank you for making our community such a wonderful place to call home. Enjoy the fantastic fall weather and look out for one another.
Stay Safe
