Greetings Neighbors,
As we cruise into the heart of the Southwest Florida summer, our community takes on a quieter, more relaxed pace, but there is still plenty happening behind the scenes to keep our neighborhood beautiful and running smoothly. With the daily afternoon downpours keeping our landscape vibrant and our retention lakes full, this mid-summer window is the perfect time for many of us to tackle home improvement projects. If you are planning any external modifications over the coming weeks, such as exterior painting, roof replacements, or landscaping overhauls, please remember that all work requires an approved Architectural Review Committee application before your contractors begin. Ensuring your ARC paperwork is in order keeps our community standards consistent and helps avoid any unexpected project delays.
While we enjoy the quieter streets and open pickleball courts, mid-July to mid-August also marks the period when the tropical Atlantic historically begins to show more activity. Now is the ideal time to review your family’s storm readiness plan and double-check your supplies well before any active systems are on the radar. Please take a few moments this week to clear your lanais and patios of any loose decor or lightweight furniture that could become a projectile in high winds, especially if you plan to travel late in the summer. It is also a great time to familiarize yourself with our community guidelines regarding storm shutters, including when they can safely be put up and the timeframe for taking them down after a storm passes. For our seasonal residents reading this from afar, please ensure your home watch services are regularly checking your air conditioning humidistats and verifying that your irrigation systems are handling the summer weather properly.
Back at the community center, we are focusing on keeping everyone cool and connected. Our committees and board members are working diligently through the summer months on long-term infrastructure planning, budget preparation for the upcoming fiscal year, and coordinating closely on shared community management goals to ensure our neighborhood remains a premier place to live. If you are out and about enjoying the neighborhood during the cooler morning hours, please remember to stay hydrated, keep an eye on pet safety during peak afternoon pavement temperatures, and enjoy the beautiful local wildlife that shares our slice of paradise.
At the June Board Meeting the Xfinity contract was ratified, stay tuned for more updates on this coming soon!
Stay Safe
